Other Corporate Foundation Grant Awards for 2002-2003:

General Mills Foundation grant of $6,760 on behalf of Stacy Anderson, Student Assistance Coordinator – Community Unit School District 303 to support the Social Problem Solving/Decision Making program for the 2002-2003 school term. This is a multi-year, curriculum based program designed to help children acquire the skills necessary to cope with everyday conflicts, decisions and pressures.

General Mills Foundation grant of $6,000 to The Greater St. Charles Education Foundation’s general programming fund.  Proceeds of this grant were used to fund the grants for 2002-2003.

 

Work Area Protection grant of $10,000 for the purchase of a portable, multi-media technology cart equipped with computer(s), monitor(s), multi-media projector and assorted peripherals.  This is an ongoing project with a goal of placing a multi-media cart in each school in the district.  So far, a cart has been placed in 14 of the 17 buildings in the school district, with this year’s grant awarded to Wredling Middle School.  (At the request of Wredling, the school substituted 3 wireless iBook computers, 3 airport base stations and a wireless projector for the multi-media cart typically provided through this project.)
