General Mills Foundation grant of $6,760 on behalf
of Stacy Anderson, Student Assistance Coordinator – Community Unit School
District 303 to support the Social Problem Solving/Decision Making program for
the 2002-2003 school term. This is a multi-year, curriculum-based program designed
to help children acquire the skills necessary to cope with everyday conflicts,
decisions and pressures.
Work Area Protection grant of $10,000 for the purchase
of a portable, multi-media technology cart equipped with computer(s),
monitor(s), multi-media projector and assorted peripherals. This is an ongoing project with a goal of
placing a multi-media cart in each school in the district. So far, a cart has been placed in 13 of the
15 buildings in the school district, with last year’s grant awarded to
Bell-Graham elementary school.
